Position Title: Supply Management Planner
Pay Rate: $25/hr (W2 through KellyOCG for John Deere)
Location: Dubuque, IA
Work Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30pm ( OT hours may be required by Deere)
Assignment Length: 12 Months

Position Summary

The Supply Management Planner will work with suppliers to coordinate delivery plans and expedite direct materials to ensure production runs without disruption. This role focuses on resolving past-due orders, maintaining supplier relationships, improving supplier performance, and ensuring all assigned parts have reliable delivery plans that satisfy production requirements.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, comfortable working with urgency, and able to collaborate effectively across Supply Management, logistics, operations, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery plans and material requirements.
• Lead supplier meetings to review delinquent orders and establish acceptable delivery plans.
• Maintain supplier relationships in partnership with Supply Management personnel.
• Monitor and measure supplier performance.
• Define and implement corrective actions to improve supplier performance.
• Continuously analyze and resolve past-due orders.
• Proactively communicate material shortages and supply issues to appropriate stakeholders.
• Resolve shipping and receiving issues to support timely and accurate supplier payments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Expedite direct materials to support uninterrupted production.
• Ensure every part assigned to the planner has a delivery plan that meets production needs.
• Track open actions and follow up with suppliers and internal teams as needed.
• Manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced production-support environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supply management experience.
• Experience in one or more related areas, including:
  • Material flow
  • Supplier development
  • Logistics
  • Operations
• SAP experience.
• Experience managing supplier delivery performance or delinquent orders.
• Experience working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.

Education

Ideally, candidates will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in one of the following areas:

• Engineering or Engineering Technology
• Supply Management
• A related discipline
