Position Title: Supply Management Planner
Pay Rate: $26.50/hr (W2 through KellyOCG for John Deere)
Location: Grovetown, GA
Work Schedule: Must be in the office by 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time
Shift Options:

• 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
• 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Assignment Length: 12 Months

Position Summary

The Supply Management Planner will support John Deere Commercial Products in Grovetown, Georgia, by coordinating supplier deliveries, managing material-flow issues, and ensuring purchased materials are available to support production plans.

This position works closely with suppliers, Supply Management Specialists, factory logistics teams, unit operations, and internal stakeholders to monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery issues, improve logistics processes, and support continuous improvement throughout the supply base.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers daily regarding delivery schedules and material requirements.
• Manage factory:
  • Hot Part Requests
  • Aged Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs)
  • Goods Receipt Compliance issues
  • Supplier delinquency recovery plans
• Partner with Supply Management Specialists to maintain relationships with assigned suppliers.
• Monitor, measure, and improve supplier performance.
• Define corrective actions for supplier performance concerns.
• Negotiate with suppliers to resolve short-term performance issues when needed.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the supply base using the Achieving Excellence process and criteria.
• Resolve shipping and receiving issues to support prompt and accurate supplier payments.
• Gather and analyze data to ensure business objectives are being met.
• Schedule and expedite purchased materials to support the production plan.
• Recommend premium logistics alternatives when appropriate.
• Serve as a key resource for company and factory logistics teams, unit operations, and suppliers regarding logistics processes, questions, and concerns.
• Support material-flow, supplier-development, and production-planning activities.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of unit processes and operations.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially:

• Willingness to relocate domestically.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers, logistics teams, operations, and cross-functional partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supply management or planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Cross-functional experience in:
  • Material flow
  • Logistics
  • Operations
  • Supplier development
• Knowledge of the SAP landscape.
• Proficiency with:
  • Tableau
  • Power BI
  • SharePoint
• Experience managing supplier performance, delivery issues, or recovery plans.
• Experience with manufacturing logistics, purchased materials, or production scheduling.

Education

A degree or equivalent related work experience in one of the following areas is preferred:
