Position Title: Product Engineer
Location: Fuquay-Varina, NC
Shift: 1st shift, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (Overtime: Required if requested)
Pay Rate: $45/Hr. (W2 through KellyOCG)
Assignment Length: 24 Months

Position Summary
The Product Engineer will develop and implement design solutions that improve the cost, quality, and performance of existing products. This role will manage multiple engineering projects, troubleshoot product issues, develop corrective actions, and provide technical support to cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical systems knowledge, experience taking designs from concept through production, and proficiency with 3D CAD and engineering tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design solutions to improve existing product cost, quality, and performance.
- Manage multiple moderate-scope projects with a shared timeline and predetermined implementation dates.
- Identify root causes of product and process issues.
- Develop and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide engineering support.
- Take designs from initial concepts through full production implementation.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyze technical data.
- Interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems.
- Support design, validation, implementation, and production activities.
- Apply design-for-manufacturing principles to improve product development and production readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Agricultural Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- A related engineering discipline
- Proficiency with 3D CAD and engineering tools or systems, including one or more of the following:
- Creo
- Windchill
- SAP
- ANSYS
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex product and system issues.
- Experience with technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience taking designs from concept through production implementation.
- Experience performing engineering calculations and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced engineering degree.
- Experience with commercial mowing products or related industries.
- Experience with gasoline and diesel engines and engine systems.
- Experience with design-for-manufacturing techniques.
- Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with product development, validation, or production support.
