Position Title: HVC Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Urbandale, IA
Assignment Length: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $88/hour (W2 through KellyOCG)

Position Summary

We are seeking an HVC Embedded Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and productionize embedded software solutions for HVC products. This role will support machine, tractor, display, and controller systems while collaborating with customers, partners, and cross-functional John Deere teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software solutions from concept through production.
• Support cross-platform development and systems integration.
• Develop software for displays, controllers, sensors, and user interfaces.
• Execute TDP discovery solutions and transition successful concepts into PDP projects.
• Collaborate with customers, cooperators, partners, and technical teams.
• Support software simulation, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and deployment.
• Analyze system data using tools such as Operations Center.
• Work in Linux environments and contribute to embedded software design and coding.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately three years of experience with cross-platform software development and systems integration.
• Approximately three years of experience executing discovery solutions and transitioning them into production projects.
• Experience with embedded software engineering practices and development tools.
• Strong understanding of target systems such as agricultural machines, tractors, or similar equipment.
• Experience with Linux and one or more of the following:
  • C/C++
  • Embedded C
  • Lua
  • MATLAB/Simulink
  • QML
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Urbandale, Iowa.
