Position Title: Quality Engineer 

Location: Waterloo, IA
Shift: 1st shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $35/hour (W2 through KellyOCG)
Assignment Length: 24 Months

Position Summary

John Deere is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations at Waterloo Works. This is a hands-on shop-floor role, with approximately 80% of the workday spent on your feet. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver and communicator who is eager to learn.

Recent graduates with manufacturing internship experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support quality activities in an active tractor-manufacturing environment.
• Partner with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams.
• Identify and help resolve quality issues.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
• Provide quality support on the shop floor and during intra-facility activities.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Technology, Engineering, Communications, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to work onsite and spend approximately 80% of the day on your feet.
• Manufacturing internship experience preferred for recent graduates.
