Job Title: Experimental Parts Procurement Coordinator

Assignment Length: 12 Months
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday–Friday (Start Time: Flexible start time beginning at 6:00 a.m.
Overtime: Possible based on business needs)

Pay Rate: $28/Hr (W2 through KellyOCG for John Deere)
Visa Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the near future for this position.

Required Excel Skills: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with Excel PivotTables and VLOOKUP.

Position Summary

The Experimental Parts Procurement Coordinator will support experimental manufacturing operations by creating manufacturing routings, managing inventory, coordinating material transfers, and troubleshooting part and program issues.

This role requires strong technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills to help ensure smooth production flow and timely availability of materials for experimental builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and edit manufacturing routings for experimental builds.
• Generate programs for fabrication operations.
• Review manufactured-part prints and 2D drawings.
• Monitor production inventory and forecast future material needs.
• Transfer stock between departments and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Communicate with internal teams regarding material transfers.
• Coordinate with Supply Management regarding purchased parts and stock availability.
• Prepare and update daily and weekly reports using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Design and model simple parts for shop use as needed.
• Troubleshoot part requests from engineers.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving laser programs and manufacturing routings.
• Support experimental production builds and help maintain efficient material flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to parts, programs, routings, and inventory.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in one of the following areas, or equivalent related experience:
  • Pre-Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering Technology
  • Engineering Technology
  • Computer-Aided Drafting
  • A related technical field
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Excel PivotTables
  • VLOOKUP
• Strong overall computer skills and technical aptitude.
• Experience with Creo and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with SAP and Power BI.
• Knowledge of inventory-management practices.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and manufacturing prints.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify practical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or engineering field.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of sheet-metal and other fabrication processes.
• Experience with Lantek, Radan, laser programming, or manufacturing-routings systems.
• Experience supporting experimental or prototype manufacturing operations.
