Position Title: Parts Distribution Coordinator

Location: Milan, IL
Assignment Length: 12 Months
Shift: 1st shift with a flexible start time, typically between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
Pay Rate: $20/hr (W2 through KellyOCG for John Deere)

Position Summary

The Parts Distribution Coordinator will support warehouse and shop-floor operations by measuring parts and entering data into a packaging specification application.

SCW Analysts will provide a list of parts and warehouse locations for review. The coordinator will receive detailed instructions regarding the measurements required and the proper methods for collecting the data.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with basic Excel and computer skills, sound decision-making abilities, and the ability to review and interpret data sets in a busy warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Locate assigned parts in warehouse locations.
• Measure parts according to provided instructions.
• Accurately enter measurement data into the packaging specification application.
• Review and interpret data sets to support packaging requirements.
• Follow measurement procedures and documentation standards.
• Communicate discrepancies, questions, or unusual findings to the appropriate team.
• Operate a Cushman, a small battery-operated vehicle similar to a golf cart.
• Provide hands-on support in the warehouse and shop-floor environment.
• Travel occasionally to offsite warehouses near the John Deere Parts Distribution Center in Milan, Illinois.

Required Qualifications

• Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
• Sound decision-making skills.
• Ability to review and interpret data sets.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate a Cushman vehicle.
• Ability to work safely in a high-traffic warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to spend approximately 75% of the workday on your feet.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in:
  • Engineering
  • Business
  • Supply Chain
• Previous warehouse, logistics, materials, or packaging experience.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment and PPE Requirements

• Fully onsite position.
• Work is performed in a warehouse and shop-floor environment.
• Candidates should expect to spend approximately 75% of the workday on their feet.
• Safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves are required.
• Metatarsal safety shoes are required on the first day.
• John Deere will provide safety glasses and gloves.
• Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-traffic warehouse environment.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel may be required to offsite warehouses near the John Deere Parts Distribution Center in Milan.
• Offsite locations are within approximately 21 miles.
• Local travel may be required based on business needs.
