Position Title: OFFSITE Packaging Coordinator

Location: Milan, IL
Assignment Length: 12 Months
Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (Post-Training Schedule: Flexible hours)
Pay Rate: $25/Hr (W2 through KellyOCG for John Deere)

Position Summary

The OFFSITE Packaging Coordinator will support packaging operations by measuring parts in the warehouse and entering the collected information into the packaging specification application.

SCW Analysts will provide a list of parts and warehouse locations to review. The coordinator will receive specific instructions regarding the required measurements and the proper methods for collecting the data.

This position is well suited for a detail-oriented individual with basic Excel and computer skills, sound decision-making abilities, and the ability to review and interpret data sets.

Key Responsibilities

• Locate assigned parts in warehouse locations.
• Measure parts according to provided instructions.
• Accurately enter measurement data into the packaging specification application.
• Review and interpret data sets to support packaging decisions.
• Follow measurement procedures and documentation requirements.
• Communicate questions, discrepancies, or unusual findings to the appropriate team.
• Operate a Cushman, a small battery-operated vehicle similar to a golf cart, to move throughout the warehouse.
• Travel occasionally to offsite warehouses near the John Deere Parts Distribution Center in Milan, Illinois.

Required Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
• Sound decision-making skills.
• Ability to review and interpret data sets.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a high-traffic warehouse environment.
• Ability to work onsite throughout the assignment.

Education and Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas is preferred:
  • Engineering
  • Business
  • Supply Chain
• Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a Cushman vehicle.
• Ability to work in a high-traffic warehouse environment.
• Ability to be on your feet approximately 50% of the workday.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
