Position Title: Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Moline, IL
Shift: 1st shift, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (Overtime: Daily or weekend overtime may be required)

Pay Rate: $45 (W2 through KellyOCG)
Assignment Length: 12 Months

Position Summary

John Deere is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support Seeding Group assembly operations. You’ll address production-floor safety, quality, and efficiency issues, help maintain tooling and equipment uptime, and lead improvement projects that support production goals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily production issues.
• Support and improve tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Lead or contribute to projects involving torque tooling, capital investments, and JDAAT.
• Identify improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with hourly and salaried employees across the factory.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of production or factory-floor support experience in a UAW environment.
• Knowledge of assembly tooling and equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.

Preferred: Experience with tooling improvements, JDAAT, CIPP, MP Planner/W Planner, Dynamic Line Balancing Tools, SAP, or manufacturing data analysis.
