Job Title: Maintenance Planner
Location: Waterloo, IA
Shift: 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM); periodic off-shift hours and overtime (including weekends) may be required
Pay Rate: $33/hour (W2 through KellyOCG for John Deere)
Assignment Length: 24 Months

Position Summary

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities within a dynamic shop floor environment at Waterloo Works – Drivetrain Operations. The role spends approximately 80% of the time on the factory floor, ensuring planned maintenance tasks are conducted efficiently and safely. 

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance projects and tasks for production equipment and
  facility systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance work
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
• Monitor and optimize workflow to reduce downtime and increase efficiency
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance processes
• Conduct periodic off-shift and weekend maintenance as business needs dictate
• Participate in intra-facility travel, including driving John Deere Gator inside the
  factory after safety training
• May drive personal vehicle to nearby facilities (within a 20-mile radius) as
  needed 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable spending ~80% of work time on feet within a shop/factory environment
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, production equipment, and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Adept with computer operations and maintenance scheduling systems
