Purchasing Assistant
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Work Schedule: 1st shift; core hours from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $31/hr
Work Arrangement: Onsite only

Position Overview
Fargo ISG-ES is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support purchasing, supplier communication, purchase order maintenance, and reporting activities. This is an entry-level purchasing opportunity suited for someone with at least one year of experience in purchasing, supply management, or data entry.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with data and ERP systems, and able to learn tools used to approve changes and manage purchasing activities. This role supports lesser-complex commodities and non-inventory items and is not intended for advanced purchasing professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Distribute supplier reports, including EDI reports, reschedules, forecasts, and related purchasing information.
- Receive and process purchase order requests.
- Enter supplier reschedule responses into the Epicor E10 ERP system.
- Update purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Run and distribute routine purchasing and supply chain reports.
- Support purchasing activities for lesser-complex commodities and non-inventory items.
- Review data, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to support order fulfillment.
- Learn and use AGILE and other systems to review and approve purchasing changes.
- Maintain accurate records and support day-to-day purchasing operations.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in purchasing, supply management, or data entry.
- Experience entering, updating, and maintaining data accurately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using Excel VLOOKUPs or similar lookup functions.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes, including AGILE.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite during scheduled hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Management, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- Knowledge of the Epicor E10 ERP system.
- Experience analyzing data and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.
- Understanding of the order fulfillment process, including purchasing, planning, and production.
- Experience running and distributing operational or supply chain reports.
