Position Title: Supply Management Planner
Shift: 1st shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (Potential overtime may be required)
Pay Rate: $26.50/hour
Assignment Length: 12 Months
Location: Waterloo, IA

Position Summary

The Supply Management Planner will manage the delivery of purchased parts from internal and external suppliers across one or more locations. This role requires strong communication, organization, and computer skills to support timely parts delivery and effective coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the delivery process for purchased parts.
• Coordinate delivery activities involving internal and external suppliers.
• Monitor purchased-parts delivery status across one or more locations.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
• Use Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, to complete daily tasks and maintain information.
• Support supply management activities and help address delivery-related issues.
• Travel between sites or to other John Deere locations as needed using a personal vehicle.

Required Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with typing and general computer operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work onsite in a business-casual environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Business, Supply Management, or a related field.
• Experience using SAP.
• Previous experience in supply management, purchasing, materials planning, logistics, or supplier coordination.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
