Quality Engineer
Location: East Moline, IL
Pay Rate: $50 per hour
Assignment Length: 12 months
Schedule: 1st shift, 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., with potential overtime
Location Preference: Local candidates highly preferred
Required PPE: Metatarsal boots required on Day 1
Visa Sponsorship: Not available now or in the foreseeable future
Candidates with GD&T analysis and CMM inspection experience will receive strong consideration.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Services Team throughout factory engineering processes. This role will focus on in-line inspection, tool and gauge asset management, GD&T analysis, CMM inspection, and non-conformance processing and containment.
The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Management, and shop floor personnel to ensure process compliance, support inspection and containment activities, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate daily priorities and completed work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Quality Services Team across factory engineering processes.
- Perform and support in-line inspection activities.
- Conduct GD&T analysis and CMM inspection.
- Manage tool and gauge assets.
- Process and support non-conformance activities, including containment.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Management to ensure process compliance.
- Use SAP, NCCA, DNCM, and other systems to process and complete assigned work.
- Support shop floor personnel, including handlers and inspectors, with containment and inspection activities.
- Prepare and distribute daily report-out documentation.
- Communicate daily priorities, work status, and completed activities.
- Maintain process documentation and controls.
- Respond to changing business needs and support variable shifts when required.
- Work safely and comply with all site requirements, including required metatarsal boots.
Required Qualifications
- Strong manufacturing experience.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to engage, learn, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work onsite and support variable shifts as needed.
Preferred and Advanced Qualifications
- GD&T experience.
- CMM inspection experience.
- CMM programming experience.
- Experience with ISO standards and quality systems.
- Experience creating data and analytics tools.
- Experience with SAP, NCCA, DNCM, or similar quality and manufacturing systems.
- Background in non-conformance processing, containment, or shop floor inspection.
